Bob Neill: Bromley Tory may have lied?

It appears that Dave's bloke for Bromley may have a bit of a problem. Appears he may have lied on his nomination form. Appears that one of his many jobs invalidates him from standing for election. Electoral law of this detail not my forté, anyone know more?

Thing is, the Health Authority that Bob Neill works for is due to be abolished next week...

Yeah, I saw that in the RM comment thread, but he did sign a form saying he's not currently  employed by one, and he is.

I suspect it's a non-issue, but it would be funny to have him invalidated on a technicality. Just because, y'know, parties messing things up is funny, especially when it's Dave's lot (who I'm going right off  currently...

Although it is possible for a candidate to be invalidated, I think it's up to the Returning Officer, and there are only a certain number of days after nominations close in which this can happen - and that time is passed. So it's more an academic case of whether he misrepresented himself on a legal document - which he has little excuse to do, being a lawyer...
