There is something about the current liberty programme which to me sounds like Charter 88 reinvented in the internet era with a more explicit electoral dimension. Or is that missing the point?
No, it's a good description in a way; I signed C88 14 years ago when I was 17. It's something I stand by. But, it's very very wordy.
What I would love to see is a basic, 3 point platform, with depth behind each, that we can put to each candidate. C88 is a good model to copy, feed off, possibly get involved and reinvent.

There was a political context to charter 88 at the time (which was felt in its way as intensely as people feel now about the liberty issues), a political context which doesn't come across in its public image today.
