It, um, gives an excuse to put more blogads up, may reduce the size of the left one *whistles innocently*

I also am not a fan of white on black, makes my eyes go funny.
Go funny? Little late for that, surely?

Is it just because I'm on a mac, or is everything now a sort of grey sludge colour?
Well, that's one way of describing it. Grey sludge... Not the desired effect. I think I'll keep it as a temporary backdrop and work on a completely new template for some point in the future.

The way the human eyes work, the best contrast is between black text on pale yellow background, and it often makes it far easier for dyslexics to read it.

That's good to know; benefits of your design course I guess. Maybe that's why I instinctively like the look of the template I use on matbowles.blospot.com?

I might suggest seeing if it's possible to give people the option of what colour they want to see it in, if that's possible with CSS
If it is, it's beyond my coding skills; let's face it, keeping this blog looking pretty is beyond my coding skills; you've looked at the source, right? Horrible table enclosing the logo, couldn't get the Divs to align at all...

Glad to see the comments about what's absolutely easiest seems to accord more or less with what I got old BondBloke, famous (well in my house) for his grumpy reactions to any requests to tweak anythihng about his blog,
That's possibly because chaning the blogger template always seems to muck something up, even though it really is easy.
On the other matter...well obviously I have to read your blog more closely to work out what you want doing with NI
It's not something I've covered much before, comment here expands a little, and I plan a follow-up next few days.

But be warned; my 'planned' follow up posts sometimes take years to actually develope.MatGBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02821264556751176639noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17312454.post-1139505148315416012006-02-09T17:12:00.000+00:002006-02-09T17:12:00.000+00:00Certainly easier on the eyes now. Glad to see the comments about what's absolutely easiest seems to accord more or less with what I got old BondBloke, famous (well in my house) for his grumpy reactions to any requests to tweak anythihng about his blog, never mind his colour scheme, to change to.

On the other matter...well obviously I have to read your blog more closely to work out what you want doing with NI and the island of Ireland as a whole. But as a statement of fact it's the UK, even if as a convention we say "British", not "UK-ish", and a lot of people saying that probably implicitly mean "British and Northern Irish". I look forward to closer explorations of your blog now that it doesn't zap my eyes after five mins reading...thanks.BondWomanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09194225259521277589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17312454.post-1139486886225178322006-02-09T12:08:00.000+00:002006-02-09T12:08:00.000+00:00The way the human eyes work, the best contrast is ...The way the human eyes work, the best contrast is between black text on pale yellow background, and it often makes it far easier for dyslexics to read it.

I might suggest seeing if it's possible to give people the option of what colour they want to see it in, if that's possible with CSSAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17312454.post-1139482827421060272006-02-09T11:00:00.000+00:002006-02-09T11:00:00.000+00:00Is it just because I'm on a mac, or is everything ...Is it just because I'm on a mac, or is everything now a sort of grey sludge colour?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17312454.post-1139475637531617082006-02-09T09:00:00.000+00:002006-02-09T09:00:00.000+00:00Wow, I can actually read it now.I also am not a fa...Wow, I can actually read it now.

I also am not a fan of white on black, makes my eyes go funny.

FreddieAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
